Groundworks Supervisor

Role Overview
The Groundworks Supervisor will oversee day‑to‑day groundworks operations on residential and commercial projects. You’ll manage site teams, ensure work is delivered safely and to specification, and act as the main point of contact between operatives, management, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Site Management — supervising groundworks teams, organising daily tasks, and maintaining productivity on site.
• Health & Safety Compliance — ensuring all works follow H&S regulations, carrying out toolbox talks, and maintaining safe working practices.
• Quality Control — checking levels, measurements, and workmanship to meet project specifications.
• Coordination — liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to keep projects running smoothly.
• Planning & Reporting — organising labour, materials, and machinery; completing daily reports and progress updates.
• Problem Solving — identifying issues early and implementing practical solutions on site.

Essential Experience
• Groundworks background with strong knowledge of drainage, foundations, concrete works, kerbing, and excavations.
• Supervisory experience managing teams on active construction sites.
• Ability to read site plans and work to levels.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Desirable
• CSCS card
• SSSTS/SMSTS
• Machine tickets or experience working alongside plant operators
